All about me:

I'm a thirty *cough* something expat living in Amsterdam.

In 2006 we arrived in the Netherlands.  We were married here in August 2008 and somewhere along the line we decided to put down our roots in the Netherlands and build our family here.  We don't have a Dutch heritage, we can barely communicate in the language, but we're trying.  We just loved the life we were living here and wanted it to stay that way.

In July 2009 we get the keys to our first home - well, the first one we have owned.  Finally I can bang nails in the wall and decorate to my hearts content.

I started the blog so that my head didn't explode with all the planning and musing I was doing.  Since I began writing it I have met some lovely people who have stopped by to visit, both online and in real life.  I love reading the comments I get so if you drop by don't forget to leave me a note.

So kick back, stay a while.  This is my life.
