The List

So what's this all about?

You see, I'm a girl who likes lists.  I like lists of things to do and I like crossing things off them.  Everywhere I go on the internet I see things that inspire me or educate me or make me want to create.  This list is my way of keeping track of them all and also keeping track of how many I am actually completing.

  • Paint the chest of drawers for the bedroom and swap out the current knobs for ones from Zara Home
  • Attend the Beginners 1 course at Jolijt & Co. (update: 28/06/09 - Done!)
  • Make the A-line skirt from Sew What! Skirts (update: 01/07/09 - Pattern drawn and fabric cut)
  • Make the Beach Wrap skirt from Sew What! Skirts.
  • Make the circle skirt from Sew What! Skirts.
  • Make the Anda dress from Burdastyle.
  • Make the Everything Tote from Weekend Sewing
  • Make the the Kimono dress from Weekend Sewing
  • Make the PJ pants from Weekend Sewing
  • Make the Lap Quilt from Bend the Rules Sewing (update: 30/06/09 - the top of the quilt is cut and pieced).
  • Make the ruffled cardigan as seen on Mighty Girl (maybe use ruffles on a skirt instead).
  • Make fabric button magnets
  • Make the petticoat from Sugardale to fit my Vivian of Holloway dresses
  • Make a cushion cover from the .70 cents Cecilia fabric scrap I picked up at IKEA.
  • Make the Mendocino Sundress from Heather Ross' Blog (update: 03/07/09 - pattern and instructions downloaded)
  • Make gift bags from Lovely Design's tutorial
  • Make iron on onesies from OhHappyDay's tutorial (I will probably sew the edges just to make sure they stay on through multiple washes)
  • Make a doorstop from Oh, Fransson's! tutorial using the idea from the comments to put the filling in a zip lock bag so it is easier to clean when it gets dirty.
  • Make a sewing machine cover.   Good tutorial here.
  • Make the pincushion caddy from Oh, Fransson.
  • Make the Felt Petal Pillows from Purl Bee.
  • Make the Moving Bag from Lia's Space.
