We signed the mortgage papers today.

Getting to this point has been exhausting.

The deposit will be transferred now to reach the notary on Monday and then we wait until moving in day.

We have a mortgage. The paperwork arrived on Saturday. It's all in Dutch. It's terrifying. In a good way though, because it means the apartment will be ours. Really, really ours. Number Seventy Five will be our home and the place we build our family in.

I imagine that this is what bungee jumping must be like, thrilling, exhilarating and toe curlingly scary all at once.

Not, of course that I ever would bungee jump. I am far too much of a coward.
